The useful formats

More reader, less file manager.

RemoteRead is built around the things that are hard to inspect in a terminal and annoying to shuttle between devices.

01

Markdown that looks like a document

Read the rendered version, switch to source when you need it, and load relative images from the same server.

Fits the server you have

No new infrastructure required.

Several ways in

Use a password, import an OpenSSH Ed25519 or RSA key, or generate a new Ed25519 key in the app.

Your server, your port

Custom ports and starting folders work as expected. There is no RemoteRead service in the middle.

Tailscale friendly

Leave credentials to an external setup such as Tailscale SSH when the server already handles authentication.

Your files stay between your device and your server.

That is the whole arrangement.
