Privacy

Your server is not our business.

RemoteRead does not collect personal information, analytics, diagnostics, or usage data. It has no advertising SDK, tracking SDK, account system, or developer-operated server.

Information stored on your device

RemoteRead connects directly to SSH servers that you configure. The server address, username, and other connection settings are stored on your device. Passwords, private keys, and trusted host fingerprints are stored in the iOS Keychain.

Documents and the local cache

When you open a file, RemoteRead downloads it directly from your server. Recently opened files may be kept in a local cache so they remain available when a connection fails.

Cached files use iOS complete file protection, the cache is limited to 250 MB, and you can clear it from the app at any time. Relative images in Markdown documents are fetched from the same configured SSH server; RemoteRead does not load web images from the public internet.

Information we collect

None. RemoteRead does not send server details, credentials, file names, or file contents to the developer or to third parties. Your SSH server and network provider may keep their own connection logs under their own policies.
